BBQ Chicken Tenders

Look no further for your 4th of July recipe : Tangy & Smoky Never Fried BBQ Chicken Tenders 💅

What You'll Need:

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 servings BBQ Popchips (about 40 chips, crushed)
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2-4 tbsp BBQ sauce, for glaze or dipping

Instructions:

  1. Put the chicken tenders in a bowl or gallon size zip-top bag and add buttermilk, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir or massage to coat evenly.
  2. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or overnight to amp up the flavor.
  3. After marinating, mix the crushed BBQ Popchips and panko breadcrumbs in a shallow baking dish or paper plate.
  4. Coat each chicken tender in the Popchips/breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Add the chicken to an air fryer in a single layer and cook at 390 degrees for about 20 minutes (or until the chicken reaches 165 degrees).
  6. Repeat for remaining chicken tenders.
  7. When cooked, brush BBQ sauce on top of each tender, or serve as a dip.
  8. Enjoy!

No air fryer? No problem! Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
